Images of Tuscany 2018 – Post #14

This is another image of Pitigliano, but this time from the more often photographed north-west side. Pitigliano is technically in a region called Umbria rather than Tuscany, about one hour’s drive south from Pienza.

It seems incredible to me how this ancient town has been built as an upward extension of the rock formations below.
