When Resolution Is Not Enough

This video is the result of many tests and general head-scratching I have been doing when considering to replace my Fujifilm X-H1 with an X-H2, and my GFX50R with a GFX100S.

I have tested a lot more lenses than I show in this video. Additional GF lenses I tested were the 23, 32-64, 50 and 63. Additional XF lenses I tested were the 18, 23, 35 & 50-140mm.

I am a photographer and musician living and working in London UK. I have been engaged in photography for over 35 years, dating back to my early teens when I owned my first film camera, a Zenit-E SLR.

I had the great fortune at that early age to be able to start experimenting with developing film and making prints, and by the time I was 16 I worked in the darkroom of a major wedding photographers in South London.

In the years that have passed, photography has been a constant creative outlet for me, I also compose and record music and have been doing so all my working life. For the last five years I have adapted my skills to independent filmmaking and the composition of music suitable for soundtracks.
