This is a very short documentary about my favourite travel destination, the Greek Island of Kefalonia.

I made the video mainly as a way to showcase my go-to travel camera, the Fujifilm X-H1, but it also features a 360 video camera I used for the first time, the Insta360 One X.

The film is in three parts: The documentary itself lasts for about 20 minutes, then there is a ten minute section that follows where I talk about the camera gear that I used. The final 5 minutes shows an image gallery of stills that I shot in Kefalonia.

In terms of soundtrack, there are two main pieces of music that I used and which I repeat throughout the video: The first piece is a simple up-beat track that I composed and recorded using a multi-tracked Behringer Model D. The second piece is a much longer, more complex track composed and recorded on an Arturia Origin. It starts very quietly with ambient chords, builds into a slow beat melody, and finally morphs into an up-beat arpeggiated rhythm.

For me, making films like this combines everything I love to create: music, video, stills and narration.
