Dark Clouds | Fuji GFX 50s

The weather is very changeable at the moment, brief bouts of beautiful warm sunshine interspersed with extremely dark clouds and heavy rain showers. This shot was taken in a “dark cloud” moment, which was so dark it almost felt like a partial eclipse. Shot on the wonderful Fujifilm GFX 50s with a Helios 85mm f/1.5 lens, shot at widest aperture.

I am a photographer and musician living and working in London UK. I have been engaged in photography for over 35 years, dating back to my early teens when I owned my first film camera, a Zenit-E SLR.

I had the great fortune at that early age to be able to start experimenting with developing film and making prints, and by the time I was 16 I worked in the darkroom of a major wedding photographers in South London.

In the years that have passed, photography has been a constant creative outlet for me, I also compose and record music and have been doing so all my working life. For the last five years I have adapted my skills to independent filmmaking and the composition of music suitable for soundtracks.
